Have you ever wanted to know how many people live in our town? It’s time to find out!
The U.S. Census requires a count every 10 years of everyone living in the United States regardless of their nationality, citizenship status, race, age, or gender. The census has begun.
Our community’s businesses and civic groups, as well as local, state, and federal governments, will use the census data collected this year to make many decisions, including where to build community centers and hospitals. In addition, the census count will help determine funding for special education, adult education, Title I, and other federally funded education programs.
The 2010 Census questionnaire is short, takes 10 minutes to complete, and is 100 percent confidential. By law, the Bureau can’t share information that identifies respondents or their households.
Please return your questionnaire.
By letting your voice be heard, you are making an investing. All of our children and our community are counting on you.
If you have questions, visit www.census.gov.
The 2010 Census is our hands.
